When Kathy Peel married, she admits that she was “domestically challenged.” She didn’t know how to cook, keep house, or raise kids—yet she wanted to be a good wife, a good mom, and create a warm and welcoming home.
She set out to educate herself and, in the process, learned that business management strategies work amazingly well in the home. Her own home and family were the lab for testing organizational strategies such as managing by department, building a family team, creating standard operating procedures, for example. As a result, Peel created the common-sense, revolutionary Family Manager System and Family Manager Brand.
She became an award-winning author whose 21 books have sold more than 2 million copies. Book titles include Desperate Households, Be Your Best, Discover Your Destiny, The Busy Couple’s Guide to Sharing the Work & the Joy and The Busy Mom’s Guide to a Happy, Organized Home (Mom’s Choice Award for Best Family and Parenting Reference Guide). She has made repeat appearances on Oprah, The Early Show, Today, CNN, MSNBC, WGN, HGTV, Discovery Channel, and Focus on the Family.
Her articles and interviews have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, U.S. World and World Report, Reader’s Digest, Real Simple, All You, Family Circle, Ladies Home Journal, Women’s Day, and many others. Kathy has served as AOL’s Family Coach and as spokesperson for quality national brands such as General Mills, Dell, Hallmark, Rite Aid, ServiceMaster, Siemens, Tropicana, Kodak, Orville Redenbacker, Hormel, Clorox, GlaxcoSmithKline, Maytag, and others.
A dynamic communicator with a gift for inspiring women to achieve their personal best in every stage of life, Peel has spoken to diverse audiences at events around the world.
